This notice describes the private OsakaBeast ranking and task-sheet automation operated for the store owner and authorized internal operators. It covers this app's data handling, rather than purchases or general storefront browsing.
Data accessed and its purpose
Google Sheets. The production configuration opens one designated workbook with four app-managed tabs: three task tabs and one product-ranking tab. The task tabs include the two design-work tabs and Main-site Daily Listings (主站每日上款). Other tabs may exist; a separate manual or help tab is not changed by these workflows. The app reads and updates ranking values, formulas, notes, layout and status, and creates the ranking tab if it is absent. Its Google spreadsheets permission allows access to other spreadsheets available to the authorizing account; the configured workbook and managed-tab limits come from code, not the OAuth permission itself.
Shopify. The app reads the store's domain, timezone and currency; product-level aggregated net sales and net units sold (after returned or reversed quantities), product IDs and titles; and product handles and featured-image URLs. It calculates store-wide rankings without a geographic filter for today and the seven calendar dates including today, based on the Los Angeles timezone. Each period displays up to ten products ordered by net sales, with corresponding net units sold. The current queries do not request individual orders, customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses or payment details.
Edited task rows and fixed dates. An installable edit trigger runs under the owner's Google authorization when users edit task content or review checkbox fields from row 6 onward in the three task tabs. Its row checks cover A:J in the first design-work tab, A:K in the second design-work tab, and A:H in Main-site Daily Listings, including each tab's review checkbox column. It reads the edited rows' values and formulas to check for nonempty task content and an entirely empty A cell with no formula. On Monday through Friday, eligible A cells receive the current Beijing date as a fixed numeric date displayed as yyyy-mm-dd. Existing A values and formulas are not overwritten. Empty tasks are skipped, including formulas whose results are empty, and no automatic edit-date writes occur on weekends. Review dates and ID-backfill dates stay manual and are not changed.
Manually maintained listing fields. Main-site Daily Listings contains the task date, image, S ID, click-through rate, add-to-cart count, sales quantity, reserved summary and review checkbox. Click-through rate, add-to-cart count and sales quantity are entered manually; the summary field is currently reserved and blank. The app does not populate these listing fields from Shopify. These task-row values may be read when checking whether a row needs its task date. The listing tab is excluded from automatic overnight row movement and automatic deletion; entries are removed manually after the product ID is completed.
Design history and date metadata. The separate overnight rollover is configured to read the structure and template dimensions of only the two design-work tabs, 热销图案套版 and 每日自主开款, insert ten new rows before row 6 in each, give A6:A15 the fixed Beijing date, and copy template formatting, data validation and row height. Existing task text, images, S IDs, review information and other entries move down and remain in the workbook. Main-site Daily Listings does not receive this rollover. A rollover date and target-tab association are recorded in spreadsheet developer metadata to check completion and reduce duplicate row insertions. This metadata describes the operation's date, rather than a customer's identity.
Scheduling. Apps Script trigger access lets the app manage the ranking schedule, owner-authorized design edit trigger and overnight design schedule. The app records enablement, initialization, success dates and times, retry dates, counts, timestamps, errors and completion status. Ranking updates target 09:30 Beijing time. The overnight rollover is configured for Monday through Friday after midnight Beijing time. Its first scheduled run is November 2, 2026, Beijing time; this date does not establish that a run has already occurred. Installation does not move rows that day. It does not backfill missed dates or consult a public-holiday calendar. The edit-date feature is independent of this overnight start date.
Connections and sharing
The app runs on Google Apps Script and stores its output in Google Sheets. External requests go to the owner's Shopify store to obtain access and read the data described above, and to the Google Sheets REST API for target-readiness checks, task-date writes, completion-metadata searches and design-row changes. The edit-date handler reads task contents within Apps Script to decide eligibility; its write request sends only the target A-cell location, numeric date and date format, not task text, image URLs or manual review dates. The write changes only the A cell's date value and number format, preserving its other formatting and validation. Overnight requests include row/template instructions and completion dates. These calls use the owner's existing spreadsheet authorization and do not introduce a broad Google Drive permission.
The Shopify requests do not include design-sheet or ranking-sheet contents. Image formulas in the ranking sheet reference public Shopify CDN image URLs, so displaying product images also involves Google Sheets and Shopify's image-hosting service.
The current code does not access Gmail, list or read unrelated files through Google Drive APIs, send email or chat messages, or send spreadsheet contents to an advertising service. It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Who can view the workbook is governed by its Google sharing settings; who can edit the app is governed by the script project's access settings.
Separate private test workbooks, if used, are restricted to synthetic data. They must not contain real Shopify, order or customer data and are not an additional destination for production output.
What is stored and for how long
- Ranking tab: ranks, product S numbers, product links, image formulas, net units sold, product-title and product-ID notes, dates, update times and status messages remain in the configured workbook. A successful refresh replaces the displayed rankings and clears obsolete ranking values; the app does not intentionally append a daily ranking archive.
- Task tabs: fixed task dates remain as ordinary date values until an authorized user changes or removes them. In the two design-work tabs, existing entries remain when the overnight rollover moves them down to make room for a new ten-row block; the rollover does not automatically delete this history. Main-site Daily Listings entries remain until manually removed after product-ID completion, without automatic movement or deletion. Daily completion metadata also remains in the workbook until an authorized operator changes or removes it.
- Working data: aggregated net-sales amounts are processed during execution to calculate ranks. The current code does not write these amounts into the workbook or a separate data archive.
- Script Properties: Shopify client credentials, the cached Shopify access token and expiry, and each workflow's scheduling and status state are stored privately in the script project's properties. A cached token is replaced when refreshed. Other properties remain until changed or deleted by an authorized project operator. Project edit access must be restricted; credentials must not be published or shared in support messages.
- Platform history and execution records: Google Sheets version history may retain earlier content. The ranking tab can contain short error messages, design-rollover status is kept in script properties, and Apps Script can retain execution information and errors under Google's platform settings. The app does not set a fixed retention period or automatically erase this platform history or execution records.
Owner controls and contact
The owner can pause both design features with disableDesignAutomation or pause ranking separately with disableDailyUpdate. The owner can also change workbook or script access, revoke Google authorization, and remove the workbook, script project or stored properties. Pausing does not delete rankings, task dates, design history, completion metadata or credentials. Deleting visible rows does not by itself erase platform history or logs.
For questions or a request concerning this app's data, use the OsakaBeast contact page or the support email displayed on the Google consent screen. Identify the app by name and do not include credentials. This notice will be updated if the app's data practices change.
