OsakaBeast Daily Rankings

A private reporting and task-sheet tool for the OsakaBeast store owner and authorized internal operators.

What the app does

The production configuration uses one designated Google spreadsheet with four app-managed tabs: three task tabs and one product-ranking tab. The task tabs include the two design-work tabs and Main-site Daily Listings (主站每日上款). The workbook can also contain other tabs; a separate manual or help tab is not changed by these workflows.

Product rankings. The app reads aggregated product sales and product information from the owner's Shopify store. It displays up to ten products for the current Los Angeles calendar date and up to ten for the seven Los Angeles calendar dates including today. These are store-wide rankings without a geographic filter, ordered by net sales in USD.

The ranking tab shows each product's rank, S number, product link, featured image and net units sold (after returned or reversed quantities). Cell notes contain product titles and Shopify product IDs. Net-sales amounts determine the ranking; the current code does not write those amounts to the spreadsheet. When automatic ranking updates are enabled, the target time is 09:30 Beijing time each day.

Task dates. On Monday through Friday, an owner-authorized edit trigger checks user edits to task content and review checkbox fields from row 6 onward in the three configured task tabs. If a task has nonempty content and its column A cell is completely empty with no formula, the app fills the current Beijing date. It stores a fixed numeric date displayed as yyyy-mm-dd, rather than a changing date formula. Existing dates, other values and formulas in A are not overwritten. Empty tasks receive no date, and the edit handler does not write dates on weekends. Review dates and ID-backfill dates remain manual and are not changed by the app.

The Main-site Daily Listings tab contains a task date, image, S ID, click-through rate, add-to-cart count, sales quantity, reserved summary and review checkbox. Click-through rate, add-to-cart count and sales quantity are entered manually; the summary field is currently reserved and blank. The app does not synchronize these listing fields from Shopify. This tab keeps weekday edit-based task dates but is excluded from automatic overnight row movement and automatic deletion. Completed listing entries are removed manually after the product ID is completed.

Overnight design rows. The separate rollover is configured to insert ten rows before row 6 only in the two design-work tabs, 热销图案套版 and 每日自主开款, after midnight Beijing time on Monday through Friday. The new block occupies rows 6–15, with the fixed Beijing date in A6:A15 and template formatting, data validation and row height. Existing rows from row 6 onward move down ten rows and remain as history, including their text, images, S IDs and review information. Daily completion dates are recorded in spreadsheet metadata to help prevent duplicate insertions.

The first scheduled overnight rollover is November 2, 2026, Beijing time. This is a planned execution date, not a statement that it has already run. Installation initializes its state without moving rows that day. It does not backfill missed dates or use a public-holiday calendar. The edit-based task-date feature is independent of that start date. Google scheduling and service availability can delay processing; check the recorded status and actual update time.

Why Google access is requested

  • Google Sheets: to read and update the configured workbook's managed tabs, including ranking values, formulas, formatting and notes, edited task rows, task dates, design-row structure, templates and date metadata. The requested spreadsheets permission allows broader spreadsheet access; the app's configured workbook and managed-tab limits come from code. This is not an OAuth restriction to one file.
  • External connections: to obtain Shopify access and read sales reports, store settings and product information, and to call the Google Sheets REST API for task-date writes, design-row changes and completion metadata. The edit-date request writes only the eligible A cell's numeric date and date format. These Sheets calls use the existing spreadsheet permission and do not add a broad Google Drive permission.
  • Apps Script triggers: to manage this project's ranking schedule, owner-authorized design edit trigger and separate overnight design schedule.

Any separate private workbook used for testing must contain synthetic data only and must not receive real Shopify or customer data.

Use and support

This is an internal tool, not a public sign-up or paid reporting service. The app does not provide a customer shopping or checkout function and does not send email.

The owner can run disableDesignAutomation to pause both design features. Ranking has its own control, disableDailyUpdate, and is independent of the design controls.

Read the data-use and privacy notice and app use terms. For app support, use the OsakaBeast contact page or the support email displayed on the Google consent screen. Do not send passwords, tokens or client secrets in a support request.

Google consent-screen production status does not mean Google has verified or certified the app.
